Tony Grimaldi
ABOUT TONY GRIMALDI
Retired Australian professional rugby player and athlete who is known for his time with a team called the Canterbury Bulldogs, a rugby club in the National Rugby League in the 1990s and 2000s. His career spanned over 12 seasons.
He played in the junior rugby league. He played his first professional game in the year 1995 for the St. George Dragons against the North Queensland Cowboys.
He has Italian heritage, so he was eligible to represent the Italy national rugby league team. He was forced to retire due to two fused vertebrae in his back and neck. He played primarily for the Bulldogs before retiring in the year 2006 due to health concerns. He stands 6'1" tall.
He was born and raised in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
He was criticized for comments that he made in a press interview regarding Andrew Johns .
