American actress known for playing Simone in the Netflix series Raising Dion . She has also appeared in the show Sweet Magnolias . She has amassed over 8,000 followers on Instagram. She is repped by Stewart Talent & Jackson Entertainment Management (JEM).

She attended Tennessee State University and was an All-American softball player. She got an MFA in acting from the Theatre School at DePaul University and taught acting for 15 years before becoming a professional actor. She made her TV debut in 2005, appearing in the show Prison Break .

She has often been cast as a politician or lawyer. She was cast as Senator Welles in the show Ozark . She was cast as Assistant District Attorney in The Haves and the Have Nots .

She grew up in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Both of her parents were educators.
