ABOUT TRACEY MCSHANE

Author and animal rights activist who has worked as a veterinary tech. She works with an animal welfare group known as Farm Sanctuary, and she purchased farmland in New Jersey to help start her own sanctuary for rescued farm animals. In 2015, she published Do Unto Animals: A Friendly Guide to How Animals Live, and How We Can Make Their Lives Better.

She attended Drexel University .

She has also worked as a graphic designer. Her dountoanimals Instagram account serves to document her farm work and her family life. She has amassed 8,000 followers.

She married Jon Stewart in May of 2000. They have two children, Maggie Rose and Nathan.

She appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
