ABOUT TRACIE SPENCER

Known best for her chart-topping 1991 hit "Tender Kisses," this rhythm & blues vocalist and songwriter also released numerous other popular singles, including "Save Your Love," "This House," and "Love Me."

After winning a 1980s edition of Star Search with her rendition of Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know," she was offered a Capitol Records contract. By the age of eleven, she had recorded her first album on the label.

In the early 1990s, she became the youngest female recipient of ASCAP's songwriting award.

She grew up in Waterloo, Iowa, and later settled in Los Angeles, California.

During a guest appearance on the popular ABC series Family Matters, she performed a duet version of her hit song "Tender Kisses" with series star Darius McCrary .
