Zimbabwean entrepreneur and newspaper publisher who was critical of Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe.

He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economic History from the University of Zimbabwe.

He became the owner of the Mail & Guardian in 2002.

His father was from Zambia.

His passport was taken away by the government under Robert Mugabe , but was later given back.
