Grammy Award-nominated gospel music performer whose 2005 album A State of Worship proved to be a mainstream breakthrough. In April of 2020, he tragically passed away due to complications from COVID-19.

He led the Georgia Mass Choir early in his career.

His debut album Call Jesus was released by Malaco Records in 1999.

He was born in Perry, Florida.

Both he and professional football player LeGarrette Blount were born in Perry, Florida.
