ABOUT TSETEN DORJEE
Painter who became known primarily as a Thangka artist. His artwork reflected his travels through Bhutan, Nepal, and Munich.
He began studying Thangka painting in 1974 with Ngawang Norbu. He continued these studies from 1980 until 1986 at the Gyudmed Tantric Monastery in Mysore, South India.
He received artistic commissions from the Dalai Lama and other top-ranking Tibetan officials.
He and his wife opened a travel agency.
He and artist Faith Ringgold both created Thangka art.
