Versatile guard who was named the Pac-12's Defensive Player of the Year in 2020 while playing for the University of Colorado Buffaloes. He was also selected for the All-Pac-12' second-team that year.

He was named a four-star recruit as a high school senior by 247Sports and Rivals. He chose ethnic studies as his major at Colorado.

He was a second-round pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2020 NBA Draft. The 76ers immediately traded him to the Dallas Mavericks for Seth Curry . He was the Pac-12's Most Improved Player in 2019.

He was selected in the 2020 NBA Draft alongside LaMelo Ball and James Wiseman .
