ABOUT TYSON HESSE

Illustrator, director, and producer most highly reputed for his work on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise including its comic series and various video game installments including Sonic Mania, Team Sonic Racing, and Sonic Origins, among others. He has also contributed original artwork to projects such as The Amazing World of Gumball and the feature film Invader Zim : Enter the Florpus.

He initiated his career in the year 2006 when he began producing the webcomic Boxer Hockey. He went on to create the graphic novel Diesel, as well as its sequel Diesel: Ignition.

Following the infamously negative fan backlash in response to designs throughout the trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog in the year 2019, he was asked to become the film's new lead artist and completely remodel the titular character from scratch. He later served as the character design lead, storyboard supervisor, and co-producer for the sequel Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in the year 2022.

He is the son of Bert Hesse. He is married to Mariel Cartwright.

He worked on the Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise which starred Jim Carrey , James Marsden , and Tika Sumpter .
