Somali-Canadian model who rose to fame as the face of Ralph Lauren's S/S 2009 campaign. She has also worked with other top designers such as Oscar de la Renta , Rachel Roy , Betsey Johnson , and Gucci. She became Models.com's Model of the Week in May 2008.
She was scouted by a photographer at a park in Canada and signed with Click Model Management in 2007.
She's also known for her philanthropic work and helped with the TOMS charity in Cambodia. She has accumulated over 210,000 followers on her ubah Instagram account.
She was born in Somalia and immigrated to Canada in 1997.
