She survived open heart surgery at age 13 before graduating from Waterford High School.

She appeared in the films Tropic Thunder, Surrogates, and Julia X.

She grew up with brothers in New London, Connecticut.

She had a small role with Kurt Russell in the 2006 remake of Poseidon.
