Vanessa Gilles

ABOUT VANESSA GILLES

Professional soccer player who plays for the French club Lyon. She has also played for the Canada women's national soccer team. She won a gold medal with the Canada team at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

During her teenage years, she had initially been a tennis player, but she eventually switched over to soccer. In the year 2012, she began playing for FC Capital United, and she won a league title with that team in the year 2013.

In March of 2019, she spoke at the 63rd Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. In the year 2018, she graduated from the University of Cincinnati, having majored in criminal justice and minored in information technology. She stands 5'9" tall.

She has a brother named Sebastien Gilles.

In November of 2023, she posted a photo on her vanessagilles4 Instagram account, which featured herself alongside decorated soccer player Eugenie Le Sommer .
