ABOUT VANESSA REDGRAVE

British dramatic actress who won an Oscar Award for her role in the 1977 film Julia. She has been featured in over 80 films, including Mission Impossible and Atonement . In 1992, she played Ruth Wilcox in the movie Howards End.

She studied acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama at the University of London.

She debuted in As You Like It with the Royal Shakespeare Company in her early 20s, playing Rosalind. She has amassed over 150 acting credits throughout her long and prolific career.

She was married to Tony Richardson from 1962 to 1967, and the couple had two daughters: Natasha in 1963 and Joely in 1965.

Her sister, Lynn Redgrave , starred in Georgy Girl.
