ABOUT VASSAR MILLER
American poet and author who received a Pulitzer Prize nomination for a poetry collection entitled Wage War on Silence. All ten of her poetic works were collected in a 1991 volume entitled If I Had Wheels or Love.
She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in English from the University of Houston.
She suffered from cerebral palsy.
She was the daughter of Jesse Miller, a Houston real estate agent.
Her work was highly praised by author Larry McMurtry .
