ABOUT VASSILIS LAKIS

Greek soccer player whose speed as an attacking wing earned him the nickname "Turbo."

He was initially a defender until his talent as a wing began to reveal itself during his 67 appearances with FAS Naoussa.

His career took him to many other clubs, including Panileiakos, AEK Athens, Crystal Palace, PAOK, and Kavala.

His family was residing in Thessaloniki when he was born.

He and Giorgos Karagounis both joined the Greek national team in 1999.
