ABOUT VEDA KRISHNAMURTHY
Professional cricket player who was signed to the Hobart Hurricanes in 2018. She made her international debut in 2011, against the England Women's Team at Derby, where she scored 51 runs. She is a right-handed batswoman and bowls right-arm legbreak.
She began training in 2005 at the Karnataka Institute of Cricket.
In 2018 she became the youngest Indian woman to score 1000 runs in WODIs, during the third WODI against South Africa.
She has three older siblings.
Mithali Raj and Smriti Mandhana are also prominent cricket players.
