ABOUT VERNON BUTLER

NFL nose tackle that was initially taken by the Carolina Panthers during the first round of the 2016 Draft. He was later signed by the New York Giants in November 2022. He has also played for the Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders during his NFL career.

Prior to being drafted, he played college football at Louisiana Tech University . Following his 2015 season, he was given first team All-C USA honors.

He made his official NFL debut while playing against the Denver Broncos during week one of the 2016 regular season. He recorded just one tackle in a 21-20 Panthers loss.

He was born to Beverly and Vernon Butler Sr. in the Pike County, Mississippi area.

He played alongside Cam Newton as a member of the Panthers during his rookie season.
