Professional catcher that was drafted by the Atlanta Braves during the second round of the 2013 MLB Draft. He was acquired by the San Diego Padres via trade in December 2020.

He began his professional career playing for the Braves' rookie affiliate team the Danville Braves.

He made his major league debut playing against the Washington Nationals on June 28, 2017 as a member of the Chicago Cubs .

He lives with his wife, Janise.
