Victor Grinich
ABOUT VICTOR GRINICH
American electrical engineer known for participating in the development of the semiconductor industry.
He earned a Ph.D. from Stanford before working at Shockley Semiconductor Laboratory for Beckman Instruments. He left with other scientists and formed Fairchild Semiconductor corporation. During his time as a teacher at Stanford he published a textbook, Introduction to Integrated Circuits.
He is considered a member of the traitorous eight who founded Silicon Valley in California.
He had three children: Nicholas, Anita, and Philip, with his wife, Helen.
He worked for William Shockley at Shockley Semiconductor Labs before leaving to form Fairchild.
