ABOUT VICTORIA STRAUSS

Novelist who has written over half a dozen novels for both adults and young adults. Some of her most popular works include Way of Arata, Passion Blue, and Color Song. She was a judge for the World Fantasy Awards in 2006.

She received a degree in Comparative Religion from Vassar College. Her first novel called The Lady of Rhuddesmere was published in 1982.

She co-founded Writer Beware with Ann Crispin, an affiliate of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association, to help prevent writers from being trapped by scams. This helped her win the Service to SFWA Award in 2009.

Her father was a university professor who helped writers obtain grants. Her mother was also an author.

She and Chuck Wendig are both novelists who have both contributed to Writer's Digest.
