She graduated from University of Cambridge and The University of Queensland. She earned a PhD in biochemistry from Cambridge.

She is the host of The Failure Hypothesis podcast. She has been featured by publications like The Guardian as one of the top "10 under 35 changing the world". She has also spent time working for a venture fund in Australia.

She and her family moved to Australia when she was six-years-old.
