Actress who became one of the most popular Filipina actresses of the 80's with roles in hits like 1983's Pieta and 1985's Paradise Inn, the latter of which earned her FAMAS and MMFF awards for Best Actress. She has since starred on series like Imortal and Tubig at Langis.

She made her acting debut in 1974, when she appeared in the horror film Black Mamba.

She left the show Tubig at Langis in 2016 due to personal conflicts with co-star Cristine Reyes .

She married Sam Groskopf and has two sons.

She appeared alongside Jessy Mendiola in the 2013 television movie Maria Mercedes.
