ABOUT WALID ABBAS
Soccer player who has made a name for himself as a defender for teams in the UAE Arabian Gulf League, including Al Shabab and Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai FC. He won the 2013 Gulf Cup of Nations championship as a member of the United Arab Emirates national team.
He grew up in Dubai and made began playing professionally for Al Shabab in 2002.
He played on the United Arab Emirates squad that finished third at the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.
He is of Bloushi descent.
He has played alongside Omar Abdulrahman on the United Arab Emirates.
