Radio personality and Lutheran theologian who the host of The Lutheran Hour, a radio show that broadcasted from 1930 to 1950.
He studied at both the Harvard Divinity School and the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences from 1916 to 1920.
Eleanor Roosevelt once called him a "fanatic fundamentalist," but she later retracted the statement and apologized.
