He had several fish tanks in the basement of his home growing up. He was cleaning aquariums when he was 14 years old.

He is an avid scuba diving enthusiast.

His father was a fish dealer. His wife Heather also appears on Tanked and serves as ATM's accountant.

He stars alongside his brother-in-law Brett Raymer on Tanked.
