Former linebacker who was a three-time Pro Bowl selection during his 14-season career with the Detroit Lions .

He was a fourth round draft pick in 1958, after playing college football at the University of Idaho.

He worked as an NFL broadcaster from the 1970s to the 1990s after retiring from the Lions in 1972.

He married Sylvia Walker in 1959.

He played baseball with legend Harmon Killebrew as a teen.
