ABOUT WENDI NIX

Anchor and sports reporter widely known for representing ESPN in coverage for the NFL and collegiate football games in New England. She got her start as a sports anchor for WHDH in Boston, Massachusetts. She is also well known for covering events like the U.S. Open, Masters, and British Open golf tournaments.

She earned a degree in French and economics from Wofford College and followed with her masters in sports management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

She has served as a guest analyst on the weekend sports show Sports Extra on WHDH.

She married former Boston Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington. The couple announced their split in a 2010 interview in the Myrtle Beach Tribune.

Both she and Lisa Salters have served as journalists for ESPN.
