Known best for her role as Cilla Battersby-Brown on the popular British soap opera Coronation Street , Peters also had a prolific theatrical career, appearing in plays and musicals such as Mrs. Whippy (a one-woman show); The Mystery of Edwin Drood; and Rutherford and Son.
Early in her career, she played a small role in the 1996 Sandra Bullock film In Love and War.
She was a finalist on both Celebrity Mastermind and Celebrity Masterchef.
Her marriage to Kenny Linden produced a daughter named Gracie.
She played Sam Aston 's character's mother on Coronation Street.
