ABOUT WES BURNS
Right winger and midfielder that was signed by the Ipswich Town Football Club on a multi-year deal in June 2021. He was selected to play for the Welsh men's national team during the 2016 UEFA EuroCup, as well as the 2020 UEFA Nations League. During his professional career, he has played for other soccer clubs such as Fleetwood Town , Aberdeen, Cheltenham Town, Oxford United and the Forest Green Rovers.
He first began his soccer career playing for the Cardiff City youth club. A few years later, he joined Bristol City's youth squad.
He was named the Ipswich Town Player of the Year in 2022 after recording a career high 12 club goals. Three years earlier, he was named the Fleetwood Town Player of the Year in 2019. Throughout the course of his playing career, he has appeared in over 275 games.
Growing up, he lived with his family in Cardiff, England. He is the youngest of two siblings.
He played alongside Gareth Bale as a member of the Welsh national team during the 2016 EuroCup.
