Former professional pitcher that was first signed by the Boston Red Sox as international free agent in 1998. He pitched for the Detroit Tigers , Atlanta Braves , San Diego Padres , Arizona Diamondbacks , Washington Nationals , Pittsburgh Pirates and the Toronto Blue Jays during his eight-year MLB career.

He began his professional baseball career playing for the Red Sox's rookie affiliate team the DSL Red Sox.

He made his official MLB debut playing against the Minnesota Twins on April 2, 2003 as a member of the Tigers.
