Businessman who served as the Chairman and CEO of Fruit of the Loom for fifteen years, from 1985 to 1999. He received the White House's Presidential Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence in 1997.
He attended Bowdoin College in Maine, where he was on the varsity team in football, baseball and swimming.
An avid sports fanatic, he became a partial owner of the Chicago White Sox baseball team in the 80's.
