English actor who is best known for his roles as Ian Chesterton in Doctor Who and Sir Lancelot in The Adventures of Sir Lancelot. He has appeared in many television series throughout his career.
His first acting role was in the movie Glory at Sea.
He has appeared on the television series Coronation Street . He won the Guinness World Record for the longest gap between TV appearances as the same character.
His son is fellow actor Alfred Enoch .
He and Steve McQueen both appeared in the 1963 film The Great Escape.
