He was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and attended New Mexico's College of Santa Fe.
He acted in the film, Bedazzled, and in two episodes of the TV series Judging Amy.
His first marriage was to Selah Brown.
He appeared in several 2008 get-out-the-vote commercials leading up to the election of President Barack Obama .
