ABOUT WILLIAM HULTZ WALKER

Chemist who was the chair of industrial chemistry at MIT. He helped write the first American textbook of chemical engineering, Principles of Chemical Engineering, which was published in 1924 and was the standard textbook for chemical engineering for decades after.

He graduated from Penn State in 1890.

The New York Section of the American Chemical Society gave him its Nichols medal in 1908.
