Former men's striker that played professionally for over 10 years. During his professional club career, he played for Alloa Athletic, Motherwell, Hibernian, Falkirk, and Ayr United. He became a top scorer for Motherwell, with 21 goals during their 1981-82 season.

He initially began his youth soccer career with the Celtic Football Club.

He played in just over 291 club matches during his 10 year career. He scored 97 goals during that ten year span.

He grew up living with his family in Whitburn, Scotland.

He is a native of Scotland just like Andy Murray and Laura Anderson .
