Professional infielder and outfielder that was first signed by the Washington Nationals as an international free agent in 2010. He was signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates on a minor league contract in January 2021.

He began his professional career playing for the Nationals' rookie affiliate team the DSL Nationals.

He made his major league debut playing against the New York Yankees on May 19, 2015 as a member of the Nationals.

He is a native of Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. He lives with his wife, Yeimy, and their two children.

He recorded his first career major league home run facing Robbie Ray .
