Left-handed pitcher who pitched a no-hitter in 1991 and was an All-Star in 1994. He won 102 career big league games during his 14-year career.

The Texas Rangers signed him as an amateur free agent in September 1986.

From 2003 to 2005, he pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

He has three daughters: Viviana, Vannessa, and Valentina.

Gold Glove third baseman Robin Ventura was his teammate on the Chicago White Sox.
