ABOUT WINNIE KHUMALO
South African world music and afro pop singer. She is known for songs like "Live My Life," "Loluthando," and "Kulezontaba." After a hiatus to raise her children, Khumalo made a successful comeback in 2008 with the album I Just Wanna Live My Life, which achieved gold status.
She was raised by her grandmother. She attended Mncube Senior Secondary School. She began her musical career at age 13. She released her first album, "Hey Laaitie' at age 15.
In addition to her music career, Khumalo appeared in television series such as Muvhango and Mponeng. She continued to release music, including albums like Woman and Higher and Higher in 2013, and iXesha in 2019, marking her 31 years in the music industry.
She had two children. Her son, Thando Thobela, was born when she was 19. His father is boxer Dingaan Thobela. Her daughter, Rethabile Khumalo was born in 1996. She performs under the name Rethabile.
She collaborated with Brenda Fassie and DJ Cleo .
