ABOUT WOODROW WHITE

Contemporary American painter who has participated in a number of group shows and solo exhibitions around the U.S., and had his debut international solo show in New Zealand in 2016. His solo show Nocturne opened at Hashimoto Contemporary in April 2022. He is known for his dark, muted paintings.

He graduated with a BFA in Painting and Drawing from the California College of the Arts in 2014.

He shares his art and posts professional updates on his woodrow_white Instagram account, where he has over 60,000 followers. He has featured the human figure and focused on portraits throughout his career.

He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. His parents are Wayne White and cartoonist Mimi Pond. His sister Lulu is also an artist.

His work is often compared to that of Edward Hopper 's.
