ABOUT XAVIER EDWARDS

Professional shortstop that was drafted by the San Diego Padres with the 38th overall pick of the 2018 Major League Draft. He has also played in the Tampa Bay Rays and Miami Marlins organizations. He was selected from North Broward Prep in Coconut Creek, Florida.

He initially began his career playing for the AZL Padres rookie affiliate team. He was eventually promoted to the Tri-City Dust Devils

He has collected over 391 hits during his four year minor league career. He's also a career .300 hitter. While playing with the Fort Wayne TinCaps, he earned Midwest League All-Star honors.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Mineola, New York.

He was once involved in a trade that also included Tommy Pham and Hunter Renfroe .
