ABOUT YASIR AL-RUMAYYAN

Saudi businessman and entrepreneur known for being the governor of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) in Saudi Arabia, for being the chairman of English football club Newcastle United and LIV Golf, and for being the chairman of the company Saudi Aramco.

He graduated from King Faisal University in the year 1993. He attended Harvard Business School. He was the CEO of Saudi Fransi Capital from the years 2011 to 2015.

He was faced with a lawsuit for $74 million in the year 2024 due to allegedly "having carried out the instructions" of Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman with "malicious intent." He was reportedly an average student, but had great social and economic intelligence which allowed him to excel in business and management roles.

He was born and raised in Buraidah, Al-Qassim Province, Saudi Arabia. He was born to a Saudi Arabian father and a Syrian mother.
