ABOUT YEFRI PéREZ

Former major league shortstop that played for the Miami Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals during his career. He has also played baseball professionally in the Mexican League. In the year 2020, he was named a member of the Dominican Republic men's national team.

He initially signed his first professional contract with the Marlins as a teenager in the year 2008. He played with the DSL Marlins rookie affiliate team for just 59 games.

He made his official major league debut with the Marlins while playing against the Cardinals on July 17, 2016. Although he didn't record any at-bats, he did record a stolen base.

He grew up living with his family in Baní, Dominican Republic. He now has a daughter of his own.

He won a bronze medal while playing alongside Julio Rodriguez as a member of the Dominican Republic men's national team during the 2020 Summer Olympics.
