ABOUT YESIKA SALGADO
El Salvadorian poet who is known for writing about family, culture, her travels, and heritage. She is best known for her self-published series of zines called Th Luna Poems which she distributed throughout colleges and universities. She is also known for being a multiple time member of the Da Poetry Lounge Slam Team.
After self-publishing several zines including WOES and Sentimental Boss, she published her first book of poems entitled Corazon through the Not A Cult collective in the fall of 2017.
She has had her poetic works shared and published through a variety of magazines and press outlets including Latina Magazine, Univision, Vibe Magazine, and The Huffington Post.
She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.
She posted a photo with social media star Maya Murillo to her Instagram in May of 2018.
