He started playing the guitar when he was 7 years old. He began playing the electric guitar as a teenager. He started writing and producing songs when he was 15 years old. He created his YouTube channel in 2009. He posted his first video "Young Orange playing guitar at 11 years old" on May 15th, 2010.

His stage name was inspired by his hair color. He enjoys filming music videos in state parks and other natural areas. He is also known for his YouTube channel where he posts his music-related content which has amassed over 140,000 subscribers.
