English-based Japanese comedian who is known for being the 2015 BBC New Comedy Award winner. She was the first Japanese person to win the award. Her humor often focuses on pointing out the cultural differences between London and Japan.

She began performing stand-up comedy in 2014.

She performed her first solo show at Edinburgh Fringe in 2019. She often posts about her daily life on her yurikocomedy Instagram and updates fans on her career on her yurikocomedy Twitter account.

She was born and raised in Japan but moved to the UK in 2005.

In 2005, Nina Conti won the BBC New Comedy Award.
