Light novel author who rose to fame with her debut series Watashitachi no Tamura-kun. She has since become known for series like Toradora!, Golden Time, and Evergreen.

She debuted as an author in 2004 with Watashitachi no Tamura-kun. That same year, she also wrote for the game Noel.

In 2016, she published her first novel, I Will Show You A Broken Place.

She was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan.

The anime adaptation of her manga series Toradora! starred Rie Kugimiya and Yui Horie .
