Professional pitcher that was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles during the 26th round of the 2011 MLB Draft. He was acquired by the Chicago Cubs via trade in December 2020.

He began his professional career playing for the Orioles' single-A affiliate the Delmarva Shorebirds.

He made his major league debut pitching on September 2, 2015 as a member of the Milwaukee Brewers .

He and his wife, Megan, were married in December 2016.

He was once packaged in a trade that included Yu Darvish .
