ABOUT ZACH GENTRY

NFL tight end for the Pittsburgh Steelers who was drafted 141st overall in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL draft and was acquired by the Steelers in a trade with the Oakland Raiders. He caught his first professional pass in Week 15 of the season against the Buffalo Bills .

He was a standout quarterback at Eldorado High School. He went on to play for the University of Michigan .

He was originally recruited as a quarterback for the University of Michigan, but switched to tight end as a freshman. He was placed on injured reserve in 2020 after suffering a knee sprain. His zgentry83 Instagram page features snapshots from his playing career as well as his personal life.

He was born to parents Kris and Tom Gentry and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His brother Sam is also a football player.

He was coached by Jim Harbaugh at the University of Michigan.
