He was born in Los Angeles.
He started playing guitar in kindergarten and loves surfing and soccer in his off hours.
He and his family moved across country to New York when he was cast in School of Rock.
He attended a performance of Once On This Island starring Marcia Gay Harden and the two are pictured together on his Instagram after the performance.
