ABOUT ZAHOOR UL AKHLAQ
Pioneering artist who was honored by the Pakistan Post as one of the nation's top ten painters.
He attended the National College of Arts in Lahore, Pakistan.
He participated in more than twenty noteworthy art shows over the course of his artistic career, including one held at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris.
He was born in Delhi, India, and was the oldest of 11 children. He married Sheherezade Alam in 1971. The couple raised two daughters. He and his oldest daughter Jahanara were shot in 1999 while at home.
He and Menci Crncic were both celebrated painters.
